True Authority & Prosperity Are Found in God's Word #135

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Our God has given us His promised Word to guide us through any situation that we may encounter in life's journey. He has designed His Word to prosper us, however, the releasing of our prosperity and success is only released through the avenue of obedience to His spoken Word. As we meditate and abide in the promises of His Word it causes us to become prosperous and successful.

Our obedience to His Word is the key that unlocks the treasures hidden within the Word. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Where there is no obedience to His spoken Word there is no spiritual prosperity or success in the things of God. Our God is faithful to supply us with all our needs, however, it is up to us to be partakers of His provision.

God's desire for us is to have a life of abundance, overflowing with His provision in order for us to accomplish His will on the earth. His provision is contained within the Scriptures and it can only be accessible by honoring His Word. Jesus told us, seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Above all our personal ambitions, God's spoken Word over our lives must be honored in order for us to be successful in the things He has called us to do.

The enemy works through deception; he desires to entice us into seeking the things of the world in the name of God without honoring or submitting to His Word. This can clearly be seen in the wilderness when Satan tried to allure Jesus away from the Father's will by using the wealth of the world. Jesus told a young man, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. The world's prosperity and success should never be compared or confused with God's prosperity and success. This young rich man walked and talked with God, however, he was far from the kingdom of God.

True prosperity begins within our hearts as we completely surrender our all for His all. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. As we continue to abide in His Word, His Word will grant us the spiritual authority needed to fulfill His will in our lives. Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it. Our abilities to accomplish anything for God are completely dependent on us honoring and applying the Word of God over our lives. True treasure comes from our Father above, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
