Judges 15:15
He found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and
took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
Mighty Samson was captured by a thousand Philistines and bound with two new cords to prevent him from escaping. The situation seems hopeless unless the Lord intervenes. The Spirit of the Lord revealed to Samson a jawbone of an ass. It might not have seemed much, but little is much when God is involved.
The Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. Obedience drew the Holy Spirit to Samson. In His presence, the captives are set free. Samson used the jawbone to defeat his enemies. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, heit is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. Never despise the small things of God, for He hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.
Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth? Our strength comes through obedience to the Word of God and abiding in Christ. Our help comes from the Lord in spiritual warfare man is powerless without the Holy Spirit. Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. God empowered us to do the impossible. When God is before us, we can do all things through Christ.
Remember, God is faithful to answer our prayers. God provided the jawbone of an ass to bring victory to Samson and Israel. He chose an unconventional weapon to defeat the enemies in their conventional war. God often hides, His greatest blessing in small and insignificant packages. So many have forfeited their greatest blessing because they disagree with the small packages God used.
Consider this verse, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Therefore, with God, we must expect the unconventional. Our blessing can be in front of us, but we can't see it because we don’t like how it came. Obedience opens our spiritual eyes to what our natural eyes can not see. Is it possible that God’s greatest blessing could be in front of you in the most unexpected way?
